Despite this, it is thought for sure that marinara sauce was made before the 19th century. This is because sailors named Marinaro, which is the Italian word for a sailor, were a big part of trade on the seas before the 19th century.

Many people think that marinara sauce was one of the sailors’ main sources of food because it didn’t go bad quickly.

Some people also think that marinara sauce was a great food for the sailors to eat when they got back home. People also think that when the women saw the ships coming in to port, they rushed to make hot, fresh marinara for the sailors.

What is Pizza Sauce? (And Where Did It Originate)


Pizza sauce is very similar to marinara sauce because you can use all the same ingredients.

One of the most important parts of pizza is the pizza sauce. The main difference between marinara and pizza sauce is that pizza sauce isn’t already cooked. As the pizza cooks, the pizza sauce cooks on top of it.

You can put all the same ingredients into a blender to make pizza sauce, and then you’ll have a good pizza sauce you can enjoy. Pizza sauce is usually thicker than marinara sauce, which is good because you don’t want it to run off the dough. Pizza sauce is also mostly made of tomatoes.

Even though both pizza sauce and marinara use tomatoes, pizza sauce doesn’t cook the tomatoes first, which makes it thicker than marinara.

In short, the difference between pizza sauce and marinara sauce is that pizza sauce isn’t already cooked, while marinara sauce is. Aside from how they are made, there are also differences in the sauce’s consistency and how it can be used.

Pizza sauce is a base that many other toppings build on, while marinara sauce is full of flavor because it is the whole thing. Pizza sauce is made just for pizza, while marinara sauce is used for a lot of things, from pasta to meatloaf.
